Redmile Energy

About Us

Redmile Energy is a specialist in Solar PV (electric) and Solar Thermal (hot water) design and installation. Established in 2008 we have been dedicated to energy conservation and Solar energy across the East Midlands, East Anglia and Lincolnshire, and are one of the few companies that attained our MCS accreditation for Solar PV & Solar Thermal prior to the commencement of the FITs scheme in April 2010, and the RHI scheme in November 2011, respectively.

Independent Specialist

Our dedication to Solar Energy means we can draw upon experience from over 200 installations on all types of residential roofs (slate, tile, pantile, Collyweston), in conservation areas, on heritage buildings, farms barns and universities. We plan, design and install with attention to detail at every stage. Our small, friendly sales team has in-depth knowledge of the market, ‘hands on’ experience of working on installations and has detailed training in the design of systems – we do not employ the stereotypical ‘Salesman’.

Our main office (pictured above) utilises ground source heating, low energy LED lighting, and is powered by a roof mounted Solar PV array designed and installed by our team of professionals.

Financial Security

All our workmanship guarantees are fully insured for our new domestic solar installations so you have the security of knowing that your system’s post-installation workmanship commitment will be fully honored. Also every deposit paid to us for new domestic solar systems is insured free of charge.

Supplier Relationships

We have strong relationships with the major suppliers and manufacturers allowing us access to cost-effective purchasing and industry-leading products in terms of quality, performance and durability. These suppliers can also provide us with technical support and expertise, if required, gained over decades of experience in European markets. Many of the products we offer come with industry leading manufacturers’ warranties, furthermore all our work is covered by our Redmile Energy workmanship guarantee.

Quality & Service

We believe in quality; both in the products that we fit and in the workmanship and customer service we offer. All the Solar panels we fit are MCS approved so all our customers can benefit from the national cashback financial incentive schemes. We do not select the components for designing a Solar system simply on cost. Our selection process takes into account the quality and performance of the individual components and of the finished system as a whole, in order to achieve a durable and safe Solar solution that matches the customer’s requirements. As part of our commitment to service, every installation we undertake will have a dedicated project manager assigned, to deliver quality and care throughout.

MCS Accredited

We are fully accredited under the government’s Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) for the design, installation and commissioning of Solar PV and Solar Thermal systems. In successfully attaining the relevant standards of the MCS, we have been assessed on areas such as competence of staff, system design and installation, documentation and quality management. Inspections of our office procedures and Solar workmanship have taken place, and further inspections will continue in order for us to maintain our accreditation.

Our MCS status allows all our customers to benefit from the ‘Feed in Tariff’ financial incentives (otherwise known as the ‘Clean Energy Cashback Scheme’) for Solar PV and the RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive) for Solar Thermal, as it is mandatory for all Solar systems to be installed and commissioned by MCS accredited installers to qualify for these benefits.

Consumer Protection

As a member of the REAL Assurance Scheme, we have agreed to abide by the REAL Assurance Scheme Consumer Code. It covers all the factors that contribute to a high standard of consumer service, before, during and after a contract is agreed. These include:

  • clear information on the systems planned and their performance
  • acceptable sales and marketing techniques
  • arrangements for installing and connecting the system
  • the selection and quality of goods supplied
  • details of the conditions of business that apply
  • the standard of any installation and other on-site work
